The SAT Reasoning Test is a measure of the critical thinking skills that students will need for academic success in college and, so, many colleges require the SAT for admission.
The SAT assesses how well students analyze and solve problems and, therefore, it is used by college admissions offices to estimate how well students are likely to do at a particular college.

Each section (Writing, Mathematics, and Critical Reading) of the SAT is scored on a scale of 200 – 800, and the writing section will contain two subscores. All of the SAT is in a multiple-choice format except the written essay and the 10 student-produced response math questions. The SAT is typically taken by the San Antonio ISD high school juniors and seniors and it is administered seven times a year in the United States. Students may take the SAT as many times as they want. The total testing time for the SAT is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
