ACT Information

Document Actions
The ACT is a national standardized exam prepared by the ACT organization which is voluntarily taken by San Antonio ISD eleventh and twelfth graders on any of several Saturday dates throughout the academic year.

The ACT assesses a student’s knowledge and skills with multiple-choice tests of 35-75 minutes in four academic areas – English, reading, mathematics and science. Individual test results are distributed to each student by the ACT organization through the mail. Based on a maximum score of 36, each test result is used by colleges for recruitment, admissions, course placement and scholarships. The academic test results allow a student to compare his/her performance to other students within Texas and across the nation.
